Wrapping up the year with a win! (by Lee McGeorge)

The Courtenay Whalers ended 2009 with a victory over the Nanaimo Islanders.  The Whalers won by a score of 7-2.  The scoring was spread out between 6 players including Kayla Novelli (2), Lee McGeorge (Whales Tale Toys), Lacey Mortenson (Comox Valley Auto Electric)  , Jan Dafoe (Aero Art Screen Printing), Kelly Godard (Vancouver Island Insurance Centers) and Melissa Dekker.  The Whalers have a busy schedule in January with a series of games against Campbell River on the  8^th,15^th and 16^th.
