Fun intersquad!
The Whalers had the weekend off from competition and met on the ice Saturday night in what we call an intersquad game. Full and part-time players, friends and husbands got together and scrimmaged for a good hour and a half. A few new faces were there, some very skilled players and some less experienced ones joined in on the fun.
Whalers full time team is gearing up for the upcoming Port McNeil Mexican Tournament to take place on the weekend of February 18th. According to a few guest players, it was noted that “the Whalers looked very organized in their positioning and seemed to really have good chemistry between each other”. This is very encouraging as the Whalers have won the McNeil tourney for the last two years and would love to capture the title once more. In the meantime, the Whalers are trying to set up a game against the Comox Valley midget girls team before their trip to Port McNeil. Date and time to be confirmed. Stay tune for more information.
Better dust off and shine up those sombreros girls. Champs, returning to defend. have to look like champs too.
All the best,
Martin D.
Well, we are ready! thanks Martin!
