WHO WE ARE
The Courtenay Whalers welcome players aged 18 and older. We are proud to be an inclusive and accessible team for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, races, cultures and religions.
2024/2025 stats
This past season, over 40 women were on the team roster, ranging in ages from 18 to 65. 14 were new to the team, including 2 who laced up their skates for the first time.

Whether you’re new to the game or a seasoned player, you’re welcome here.
ice information
We skate out of the Sports Centre in Courtenay and aim to hit the ice at least once a week.
volunteer-Driven team
Our team is entirely volunteer-run, with dedicated individuals managing everything from organizing and coaching to scheduling and all the details in between.
