It’s calling for rain, lots of rain in the next couple of days. Smells like fall to me. Of course, we had one of the best summer ever. The weather has been unreal. Although dry at times, you can’t really complain. If you have a passion for outdoor activities, the last few months have been more than perfect.
It is always a little sad to hear of “back to school” sales or to start putting away the camping gear. Don’t really want the summer to end… but then colder times also bring about HOCKEY SEASON!!! It’s here! Oh how I missed you!!
Tonight was our registration night and we had a record attendance. Many returning players and a few new faces will make up this year’s team. We have a total of 27 registered players!!! This is going to be a season to remember. Our first practice will take place on September 9th and we all look forward to Gord Lennox coming out to teach us how it is done! This season, the Whalers are planning on having a more competitive approach to each game so lace up your skates, we hope your pre-season training is in full swing…or maybe not just yet.
