Game started a little after 7pm and the first period saw both teams playing fairly evenly. Practices paid off as the Whalers turned it on in the second and third periods, creating a multitude of scoring chances and capitalizing on six occasions. Scorers included Jody Fink (2), Josée Bureau (2), Tera Kasubuchi and Melissa Peacock who was playing her first ever game. Katrin Bizier also making her debut in goal came out with the shut out.
